I'd like to see him use the US Arsenal method of cartridge making, with 3 pcs of paper.

lsnt the 61 and 63 basically the same? l think they changed the barrel bands but lm not sure of anything else.
No, the US 1863 is distinct in quite a few ways. It has a completely different hammer and bolster design that eliminates the "clean out screw." Ramrod is different (no swell at the top). As you point out the barrel bands are different. The inner parts of the lock assembly, some hardware and the stock are about the only parts that would interchange with a US 1861.
