My dad and I have, what I know to be a cabinet model Grover & Baker sewing machine, which according to some web sleuthing is dated 1860 per the 35xxx serial number.

It's hard to find a lot of info on this particular unit, and would appreciate any insight that can be gotten.

Full disclosure - I'm wanting to try to sell this for my dad as he's downsizing to an independent/assisted living facility so I'm looking for any info including ballpark values or places or people who might be interested in such things.

I THINK it works, though I have not tried it as I do not want to mess anything up. I'm not sure who last threaded the machine or when.

Here are some pics. I can take more without the clutter in the cabinet if needed.

Any help/guidance is appreciated.
