I have a chance to buy this .28 Colt Root. Missing a few screws, badly chipped grips. My question is on the cylinder, it looks like possible damage to the outside edge of the cylinder on the nipple end, possibly deformed from being hammered on, maybe from being knocked off the cylinder pin? Or is it even damaged? I've never seen a Colt Root up close. Not even this one, I'm buying it based on (lousy) photos. Any wisdom from Root owners is very much appreciated. Thanks

Hi...sorry I can't help answer your specific question about the condition of the Root parts....but I will say that you should contact the seller and ask for better pictures of any part of the gun you can't clearly see now. Don't buy it unless you can see everything clearly. Most sellers are willing to send out additional pics.
