179th pa inf

That's a tough one because it was such a short lived regiment (about a year) and were never involved in any battles, which means that it was away from the photographers' limelight. You might find individual pictures, but I doubt that there is anything more than that.

You are going to have to some leg work. I suggest you start with the various County historical societies where the the individual companies were raised. Then you can move onto the Philadelphia Historical Society.
