15th Virginia Infantry Regiment Uniform

Here is Private Richardson Wallace Haw of "I" company 15th Virginia Infantry Regiment.

Would anyone here have any idea on what color his uniform is and about when it was issued?

Looks like a mid war style Richmond Depot jacket most likely made from jean clothe. They usually attempted at grey but the dies they used would come out all over the place or started out as grey and quickly weathered to a tanish color "butternut"

The Depots starting to get stuff out mid to late 62. Before that would have been a mixed bag of frocks and commutation and homespun jackets
