A Infantry unit identified as the 134th Illinois is in formation to guard against cavalry. The 134th was a 100 day regiment, not really meant for front line combat, but to be used guarding supplies, railroads, etc. In order to free up the combat veterans for fighting. I don't believe this formation was ever used in the field. It was good for protection against cavalry, but enemy artillery would've torn them up.
