Major Phillip Van Horn Weems was Commander of Company H, 11th Tennessee Infantry Regiment. He was promoted to Brevet Colonel, just before the Battle of Atlanta, GA where he was killed. His family brought his body back and buried him at his home in Bon Aqua Springs.

Saw this memorial for 20th Tenn

Shy's Hill was named after him. Im studying Hood's Nashville campaign to understand the role the Louisiana Brigade played in the battle and retreat.
After Hood's line collapsed on the 15th, General S. D. Lee pulled back about 1.5 miles to form a new position. Each end of the line had a hill: Shy's Hill on the left flank and Overton Hill, also known as Peach Orchard Hill.

Ah! I found it. Shy's Hill was originally called Compton's Hill.
