I believe truthckr is referring to the Battle of Franklin, which is believed to be the second largest infantry assault of the Civil War, upstaged by the third largest - Pickett's/Pettigrew's Charge, and about 12,000 men shy of the Battle of Gaines Mill less organized assault.
