The sharpshooting Civil War colonel was Henry Post and his son, the Olympic medalist, was Albertson Van Zo Post.

Singlestick was a form of fencing. The only time it was ever contested in the Olympics was at the 1904 Games held in St. Louis, Missouri. There were only three contestants, all of them from the USA.

Looks like somebody was trying to boost the home country's medal count just a bit. :rolleyes:
