Photograph shows tattered flags of the 70th Indiana Infantry Regiment, commanded by Colonel Benjamin Harrison, after Major General William Tecumseh Sherman's Atlanta Campaign.

General Harrison entered politics after the war and became the 23rd President of the United States in 1889.

I'm going to guess that Harrison's regiment was shortly afterward gifted a new set of flags to carry to glory. These have seen hard work and deserve their rest and retirement.
