I love Godey's Lady's Books, not just for the fashions and patterns but for the recipes as well. Which really are pretty good most of the time.
Unfortunately, I can't afford to collect the various issues and honestly I just don't have the nerve to keep anything that old and fragile. So I have contented myself with digging through (and ooh-ing over) online pdf files of them.
