That Abraham Lincoln imposed the first federal income tax and that federal income tax deadline is on April 15th ? The Date Lincoln died !!

I don't know the dates, but he was instrumental in the first income tax. When the war ended, the tax petered out.

I think it was August 5th, 1861 when the first income tax was authorized but I am not totally sure on the date.
