Just an observation. I try to go through the new posts on a daily basis, and I am glad to see posts and comments from members that are new or fairly new to CWT. New members bring new perspective, knowledge and ideas to CWT that hopefully everyone can benefit from. For anyone who has not done so, I highly recommend the ZOOM presentations that are always interesting.

I have yet to participate in the Zooms, but perhaps I should.

You definitely should, especially since you've mentioned attending CWRT events. They might be the best feature of this site.

it's also nice to put a face and voice to some of the CWT members I've interacted with here.

Every event it amuses me that, despite being one of the younger members (and probably one of the more tech savvy), I'm one of the very few attendees without a webcam. I'm not shy; I just don't need one for anything else at home (I've got one at work) and my computer monitor doesn't have one built in.

Absolutely agree with the notion that the inclusion of diverse input (not groupthink) leads to better decisions and outcomes, if managed in a proper manner (like here, in CWT).

New member contributions, like alternative offerings, need to be always welcomed.

Not convinced about the zoom proposition though - believe the emphasis must be on the content of information exchanged, rather than the style of its presentation.

We all learn from each other.

Having been here at CWT a rather long time (☺️), I can absolutely attest to the importance of new members and the different perspectives and information they bring. In order for all of us to learn about the subject we all share a fascination with, we are better when we expand and share what we know. Sometimes new folks feel uncomfortable asking questions or sharing their knowledge, but I can say that one of this forum's positives is that we believe there is no dumb question unless it's one you're afraid to ask. Don't be afraid to ask!

I will suggest everyone, especially newcomers, should try be self-aware and "know what you know." Or in other words: there are no dumb questions, but there are ignorant statements. Share your knowledge and be receptive to learning.

Count me in like the above statement. 🙂
