Hey, David. Thanks for the links. Welcome. Stop by and see us at the Railroads and Steam Locomotives forum.

Thanks for the links. I plan to add them to my Browser links.

Ive always been interested about any regiment or battle related to Mississippi. So this will help me in my future research.

You're my new favorite person! Thank you. :) Yeah, yeah, @7th Mississippi Infantry, you're still the bomb. :D

The cemetery is in an old section of campus that is off the beaten path. It is just yards from the Tad Smith Coliseum but as 7th Mississippi posted many are not aware of its existence. The poignant aspect of this small cemetery is that it is just one of many small out of the way resting spots for many forgotten and unknown soldiers spread throughout the former Confederacy along with a few in West Virginia and one in Wisconsin.
The University of Mississippi's Center for Civil War Research has published a list of the cemeteries on its website listed below. I also included another site dealing with the Confederate Memorials on the Ole Miss campus which seems rather timely in light of the actions by the city of Memphis, TN tonight also listed below.

David

I have additional information regarding Mississippi units but hate to post all that on the board. Can we do a message or email?
Regards
Dave

This is also a good source on Mississippi units: https://www.accessgenealogy.com/mil...il-war-regiments-rosters-and-muster-rolls.htm

Most of the regiments listed there contain detailed histories from Dunbar Rowland's Military History of Mississippi, 1803-1898.

And here are a few other sites I had bookmarked:

History of the 46th Mississippi Infantry: http://lauderdale.msghn.org/military/civilwar/fortysixth/fortysixthregimenthistoryprelude.html

History of Co. K, 27th Mississippi Infantry: https://archive.org/stream/historyofcompany00jarm#page/n5/mode/2up

Hardee flag of the 32nd & 45th Mississippi Infantry: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~mscivilw/32_45ConsolidatedFlagAbstract-060508.pdf

Sorry I haven't been back on here - Wow! I have a lot of things to check out. My research covers several states but MS is one that I often avoid because there are so many of "my boys" there and many of them have the same first name - makes it a little bit of a mess and I don't have as much time for my research as I'd like - but do any of us?? I will be sure to go through as many of these as possible. Thanks for posting and keep it coming! Feel free to message me too if you'd like.
