On 12 April, 2025, the Central Virginia Region of the North South Skirmish Association will host a Recruit Skirmish in Winchester VA. This event is designed for non members to experience competition with Civil War arms. Those attending will receive instruction in the operation of a Civil War musket, participate in live artillery and mortar fire, have a provided lunch and afterwards, will compete against other attendees in team musket competition. The best part is- IT'S FREE. Of course there is a catch- space is limited and preregistration is required.
