Don Dixon, a frequent contributor on this site, has just published a very good article on Ohio-marked weapons in the latest issue of Man at Arms magazine. I believe Man at Arms is now only available via subscription; but maybe someone can correct me if I'm wrong.

Don can you do an article on Connecticut weapons issued to Connecticut Regiments? I'll buy several! You find anything on the 17th Connecticut I'll pay you well for it!

The 17th Connecticut was not armed with Austrian weapons during the Civil War, so I'm afraid that I can't help you. Other Connecticut regiments were another matter.

I know. The 27th Connecticut had Austrian weapons. I did reenactments with them back in the day.
