Texas ish items

I found these three items for the price of about 100 dollars so if they're fake they're still decently priced. I tend to avoid csa items because I don't have the eye for the intricate fakes unless they're on a mantle. Any thoughts?

Idk about the CS buckle. I'm always weary about belt buckles. It's so easy to fake the patina on one.

This piece is at least real, it's a piece of a UVU Badge, or the Union Veteran's Union, a smaller GAR-style veteran's organization. Not nearly as common as usual veteran badges.

The "thrown in a fire patina" on anything raises my suspections. The CS plate doesn't show up in Syd Kerksis "Plates and Buckles of the American Military 1795-1874" so my guess is fake. YMMV

The clasp buckle reminds me of some Vietnamese military buckles...

Thanks y'all. There were a couple other pieces with fire damage and melting so I was thinking the fire may have been legit but completely unrelated. The uvu pin reminds me a lot of modern military insignia which is interesting to me
