"Slouch" Officer's hat

Hi I went to a local auction house to preview military and they have a "Slouch" officer's hat, black, with a big black feather...looked like iron brigade hat. The guy running the auction is somewhat of a friend...I dont think he would burn me and he was very confident it was authentic. It is in good shape. want your opinion on the hat overall and possible value. When I saw it I though Hardee Hat and i think that is what it actually is.. Ill try to get better pics posted

Im sorry for posting the estimated price. I tried to block it out to no avail. Cant find a smiliar hat for sale online.

I did not end p bidding..I previewed in yesterday afternoon and didnt have the time to vet it in a serious way. I was thinking 5k if it were in fact officr, iron brigade, Hardee

That estimate tag was way out of range for one of those hats. The insignia alone is worth over $1,000
