Rebel striped haversacks.

Here's the striped haversack in the Museum of the Confederacy collection...

Don't know that there are any other examples.

Here's a documentary reference to some striped haversacks...

There was a few vendors making ticking haversacks years ago and it was almost a fashion craze in the reenacting world for a while. Everyone thought they were cool and had to have one, to the point it was way overdone. In reality they were very rare. The authentic world frowns on them these days, they want everyone to have a depot issued haversack. If you want to make a good issue haversack Wambaugh and White sells kits for 25$. Good way to get your feet wet making your own stuff. They used to sell them made of ticking too but don't think they do anymore. But if that's what you want to make more power too you.

I have several depot haversacks. I'm just looking at a chance to make my very early war kits better with a sent form home haversack
