New bugler..

I have got a bugle and am wanting to learn to play. I played trumpet all through middle school so actually playing it is like riding a bike. I'm wondering if there was a manual for musicians/buglers only? I have been reenacting for several years now and I am still learning about the musical side of it.

You need George Rabbai´s Infantry Bugle Calls of the Civil War. It´s available from Fall Creek Sutlery for the princely sum of $19. All the calls you´ll want or need in reenacting in modern notation with useful notes on usage. It´s also booklet sized, so it won´t take up a lot of room in your pack.
