Looking for source for large officer's sash

Hello all,

I am looking for a source of a large red officer's sash. I have a 52" gut. The one I recently purchased is 109" from knot-to-knot and leaves me with the knots sticking out and that is about it.

Can anyone recommend a source for a large sash?

Thanks,
Steve

P.S. to head off the questions such as, "Hey, fat guy, why are you trying to do XYZ?", I am making a mainstream federal Captain impression to use at N-SSA recruiting events.

Should there prove to be no larger alternative...

If expense is not an issue, perhaps purchase a second one, and cut the requisite quantity out of the band, and splice into the center of the sash to be worn.

I don't know about current reproductions but would it give you enough to just loop it around once instead of twice if you can't find one ?

Out of curiosity I measured the 2 sashes I have because I'm not skinny by any means but mine fit pretty good. My officer's sash I bought from S&S in Gettysburg measures 112" from knot to knot and my NCO sash is about 124" I bought it from a sutler in Florida years ago which I don't believe is in business anymore. On another note make sure you have the right sash, the NCO sash (left) is red wool and an officer's sash (right) is a burgundy/crimson silk.

Thanks for the info. Looks like I bought the wrong color, also!

I may end up having to buy two and do a splice.
