How to pronounce Heth?

Lafayette - there's a town somewhere in Arkansas that's pronounced la-Fay-it, and of course, there's Fay-et-ville

Nacogdoches - in TX its Nak-a-Dough-ches; In Louisiana its Natchitoches Nac-a-Tish

Peony - I've always known it as P-on-ee, but i have friends who say it p-On-ee
same for pecan - me: p-Cahn, my uncle and grandmothers - P-can (or K-row nut pie - using Karo syrup)

Sure a lot of responses in just a few days! Anyway, in the 1950s and '60s I grew up outside Philadelphia with a bunch of Heth kids (one of whom became a well-known TV producer/director). They pronounced their surname to rhyme with "Beth."

I am surprised of the traction this small question gained. The internet does work in mysterious ways!
