Historical markers and statues.

I sadly report that the statue of Robert E. Lee that was removed from Charlottesville, Virginia has been completely destroyed. Why could it not have been placed in a civil war battlefield here in Virginia. Such a shame. I hate to see any historical marker destroyed. I still believe history should not be forgotten.
