These framed lithographs arrived just in time for St. Patrick's Day. Donnybrook at Dusk by Bradley Schmehl and Sons of Erin by Don Troiani. I have always loved Civil War flags and especially those of the Irish Brigade, produced by Tiffany and Co. of New York. Chaplains are also a pet topic of mine. So both images speak to me.

What do you think?

(Maybe it will bug some folks, but I have always framed my Civil War prints exactly so, antiqued gold frames and flat black mat with the signatures and numbers covered up. As an artist and graphic designer myself, some print dressings with tons to of text and varying font styles and sloppy signatures and numbers really distract me from enjoying the art. And I also prefer the uniformity.)
