NF Does every regiment deserve a book?

Non-Fiction
The best thing would be to donate the letters to an archive. I'm certain the New York State Archives would want them, as would Westchester County. If the owner wants to keep them in the family, then creating legible copies and making them available to a local history organization would be a nice thing to do. There are always history students looking for projects and unstudied letters and diaries are perfect for that.
I would just add the condition that they be digitized and made available to general public. This way you don't have to visit the NYSA/W'chester to access. NYPL's Schwartzmen Library and NYS Military Museum and research centers are other fitting options.
