This isn't a question but rather a recommendation. Recently my cousin told me about the National Civil War Museum in Bardstown, Ky. The museum consists of the main building with a innumerable artifacts, mainly from the Western Theater, including guns, knives, uniforms, pictures, and much more. In addition there is a villiage of log cabins with historical markers and two other museums. I highly recommend if you live in the vicinity you check it out. Has anyone else been there?

Yes, it is well worth visiting. As I recall the other museums are a military museum that covers all periods of the U.S. military and a women in the Civil War museum that focuses mainly on civilian dress. The Civil War museum is the largest of the three.
