This is a nice basic Confederate shell jacket. It has one piece sleeves and a six piece body. It is fully lined. It is nearly all hand sewn. A few internal seams were machine sewn, but many more were hand worked and everything that shows is hand worked. The buttonholes and all the top stitching are hand worked and the button closes with 9 brass eagle buttons. This jacket is authentic in its production yet generic enough to fit in with any impression for the period. The actual measurement of the chest at the underarms is 49.5 inches, so a solid 44 or 46. The waist is 48 inches. The sleeves measure 33.5 inches from back of neck to cuff. More details on the jacket are in the video concerning choice of fabrics I used and construction methods.
