So the older I get the more impulsive purchases I make. Here's another relic on my bucket list and therefore irresistible. A 6 foot war log from Chickamauga riddled with canister, shot and shell. Enroute

I am getting some pushback from my wife who is upset that the house is looking more and more like a CW museum and library.

Nice piece. More war logs have come from the Chickamauga area as it was heavily wooded. After the war all the local sawmills would not take wood from these areas as they would destroy the saw blades.

Very cool war log. They're always great center pieces for a collection. On the plus side you can turn your home into being tax exempt if it's a museum :wink:
