How would have Douglas, Bell, and Breckenridge handled secession had the won the presidency in 1860?

If Lincoln had not won the Electoral College any of the others three might have been a compromise for president. How would each have handled secession?

Douglas would have pushed for Popular Sovereignty in the territories and may well have withdrawn from federal property in Southern states. This would have encourage Soithern fire eaters to make additional demands. There may have came a point where Douglas would have denied some demands and the onset of the Civil War delayed. Still Popular Sovereignty did not set well with Southerners.

Bell would have allowed secession and been more generous to the Confederates to avoid war. Still Bell supported Popular Sovereignty in the territories which was unacceptable to fire eaters.

President Breckenridge would have supported secession as well as mandatory slavery in the territories. In general Breckenridge would have given in to every demand the Confederates made.
