Iuka - Victory as Failure

I always find it ironic she kind of oozed out of the whole thing. Sort of like Van Dorn's insides. Wonder how many "ladies" Van Dorn was actually entertaining at the same time that was going on?

Wasn't there also something about Van Dorn seeing Mrs. Peters' daughter at the same time? I think that Thomas Cartwright once mentioned that in my presence.

Thanks for bumping, Hanna. Thanks for launching this thread originally, Dan. Very interesting stuff!

Y'know, that is something you ought to have started a few weeks ago. We are generally happy to help, but we aren't here to do it for you.

If you have access to a library, look for Peter Cozzen's book on Iuka and Corinth. A bit of speed reading and a slathering of midnight oil and you might just make it.

I agree with you that starting an assignment due on Monday the previous Thursday is bad scholarship. I have however PM'ed the questioner and will do what little I can do to help without doing their work for them, although I suspect I have already written a few papers for the unprepared. I find it kind of sad that there isn't more interest in our history.

That is very good of you, Dan. Like you, I believe in doing your own freaking work. Get a little help from your friend. Sure, but you've done nothing if you haven't done your own work. Period.

We go back a few years. We've seen Ky grow up, And the boys. I will bet you never did their work for them. Get your butt into it and do it!

And this is what I am telling girl. Oh yes, we'll help, but we aren't going to write your freaking paper for you.
