Grant was in Burnsville while Ord was about 4-5 miles down the Burnsville Road toward Iuka. They met but were not colococated.

Did most of the Confederate units which escaped end up at Vicksburg with Pemberton, or with Bragg?

They became part of Pemberton's command.

They got shot up again at Corinth before they got there. They had a rough go of it.

Y'know, that is something you ought to have started a few weeks ago. We are generally happy to help, but we aren't here to do it for you.

If you have access to a library, look for Peter Cozzen's book on Iuka and Corinth. A bit of speed reading and a slathering of midnight oil and you might just make it.

I agree with you that starting an assignment due on Monday the previous Thursday is bad scholarship. I have however PM'ed the questioner and will do what little I can do to help without doing their work for them, although I suspect I have already written a few papers for the unprepared. I find it kind of sad that there isn't more interest in our history.
