Is the 8 paces to man the gun ( from the youtube how to load a canon) a regulation distance?, or just arbitary.

I'm not sure if it is regulation, with everything in the N-SSA - safety first. It could be a safety measure.

But the whole thing is a National Event, and Mike did film this for Skirmishnotes, so he must of broken out the tripod, because I can see his handsome face in it!
