Worst Corps Commander in 1863?

Some might argue that if not for Sickles' boneheaded insubordination, the Confederates would had not attacked on day 2, might had not been a day 3 and that battle might have been fought at a different ground and the Confederates would have been in full force up North. Guess got to dismiss Sickles' candidacy by reason of insanity

Some people might argue anything, but I don't think either of us wants to talk about the limitless ability of humans to pick any side in an argument.

Unless Butler had Corps Commander status in 1863, my vote for the worst Union Corps Commander in 1863 goes to Mr Ambrose Everett Burnside who was (then) commanding the IX Corps in the Department of Ohio and (among other things) started the Vallandigham situation...

Without meaning to be pointlessly persnickety - Ninth Corps was under John G(rubb) Parke in May 1863, what with Burnside being in charge of the department.
