I thought this would be easy to Google and re-discover this woodcut (or perhaps a pencil drawing) of a early war Confederate regiment marching through a town. An officer with a feather plume in his hat and soldiers waving. I thought at one time a caption even referenced the scene as the 2nd Mississippi, but now I'm not even sure. At any rate, I've lost track of it and wondered if anyone here might remember it and provide a link to it if possible. Maybe I just dreamed it and it doesn't really exist.

Thanks!

Well a feather in his hat reminds me of John S. Mosby "Gray Ghost"
Thanks, but pretty sure it wasn't Mosby and his men. Really my only particular interest in it when I originally ran across it was because there was some direct or indirect reference to the 2nd Mississippi in a caption.

I gave up too soon. This is what I was looking for. OK, I may have been wrong in recalling the feather plume in the hat. :smile:The caption reads:
SECOND MISSISSIPPI REGIMENT (WILDCATS) PASSING ALONG MAIN STREET, WINCHESTER, ON THEIR WAY TO BUNKER HILL, VIRGINIA.
