Wild Rice stuffing is good with, turkey, Cornish hens, or duck for Thanksgiving. This old recipe is from my family.

1 loaf bread, dried and cubed
1 medium onion , chopped
1 teaspoon sage
1 tablespoon parsley
3 to 4 stalks of celery, chopped
2 cups wild rice, cooked
1/2 lb butter melted in 1 cup water or stock
1/2 cup raisin
1/2 cup apples, cut up

In a large mixing bowl, stir together the bread, onion, sage, parsley, celery and wild rice. Gently mix in melted butter and water or stock. Toss in apples and raisins. Bake the dressing in casserole dish for about an hour at 350 degrees.

This is a real treat with your choice of poultry.

I love wild rice. I saw a program on the travel channel how native Americans in Minnesota harvested wild rice in their canoes and how they had to beat it and dry it.when you see how it is donw, you know why it costs more.well worth the price.
