I suppose I would want to be an infantry grunt with the ANV like some or most rather of my ancestors were although Wade Hampton's Cavalry or Mosby's command sounds inviting but then again riding with Forrest holds a great appeal. I wonder would I have survived (not all of my ancestors did) or been assigned to the home guard like one of my wounded in Virginia one legged ancestors was.
