Identify this site on the Gettysburg Battlefield...
MRB, this thread needs to allow for viewers to "play" along - last time I joined in agreeing as to the identity of the object and its location and felt like I was being criticized for doing so! ("It's ALREADY been ID'd.") Something along @ami's manner of replying to trivia questions that would allow more of us who are at least somewhat familiar with the battlefield to "play along" if we choose, and not just the first couple who happen to see it and get it right, as has happened here. (I too thought of Iverson's Pits but now there's no reason to say so.)Identify this site on the Gettysburg Battlefield...

My apologies for the crossed signals! Of course, I value each and every response....sorry the wording may have made you feel ousted, as it was not intended to offend in any way. I hope to see your comments in weeks to come. Thank you for bringing this to light.MRB, this thread needs to allow for viewers to "play" along - last time I joined in agreeing as to the identity of the object and its location and felt like I was being criticized for doing so! That's immaterial - my point is that this needs to be more of a GAME in some way; since it has the attributes of one, maybe it could somehow have the mechanics of one too.My apologies for the crossed signals! Any suggestions to make it more of a game? Ears are wide open. That's immaterial - my point is that this needs to be more of a GAME in some way; since it has the attributes of one, maybe it could have the mechanics of one too.
Maybe @ami could tell how she does it, though of course the trivia questions are up for a longer period of time.Any suggestions to make it more of a game? Ears are wide open.
This is the marker for the advanced Union position during the fight with, among others, Iverson's command on the July 1. It sits on Oak Hill and is believed to rest near the burial ground best-known as Iverson's Pits.Identify this site on the Gettysburg Battlefield...

Here is the photo I took when you graciously took me with you on that first evening at the CWT event in 2016. Good memories!
