Actually @redbob is correct. It is NOT a cannon at all but a product of someones imagination.
Looks like a 3" 12 lb Napoleon Parrott rifle mountain howitzer with the rare field fortification siege carriage. On top of that the muzzle appears to be threaded to accept a suppressor or recoil reducing muzzle brake.....
Hence the expression "p**s poor aiming !I am quite sure, however, that this piece has done its share of firing. Usually proceeded by the command, "Hold my beer..."
Looks like a sewer pipe mounted on caissonW.Rings at this end makes it definitely not a artillery piece.Would like to see the rear.
It is a very BAD piece of Yard Art. I hope the owner is sufficiently embarrassed to actually have this on display.....
What does the artillery authorities report it to be? Was this a experimental cannon that was to fire long distance shells?The barrel appears to weak to accomplish this in fact it would explode when fired.
