I am wondering if there are any Regimental histories available that are connected to this raid, most likely involving Barringer's 1st North Carolina Cavalry at the Southside railroad and Nottoway Courthouse in Virginia. The 8th New York Cavalry was also involved in this raid on the Union side, and lost a number of men in the fighting. Thanks in advance.
