I love how the sunlight grazes the treetops in #7, while the rest of the scene is in a relative shadow. The trees seem impossibly tall and menacing, and the little placard, too small to be readable, seems to speak to the futility of our attempts at remembrance and memorialization. Like nature itself conceals all the secrets of the past in its cold, cryptic clutches. Nice work.

I love how the trees make a wall in #7. It almost looks like granite.
The sun shining through the fog in #2 looking like something in a Civil War movie.
All 7 are striking.
 
OMG, have you ever seen a picture and you know you've never been there but something tells you, " I've been here before"
#2 did that for me.
