I thought that I would share some pictures from my visit, today:

This is the front entrance with the Moment of Mercy sculpture, depicting a scene from the Battle of Fredericksburg

Except for Gettysburg, each important battle received on wall panel with a description. My preference is for more space dedicated for the battles.

Another set of panels

After George Pickett was wounded in the arm at Gaines Mill, this sleeve was torn off his coat. There are still some blood stains on it.

Here is a kepi that Pickett once wore.

This is a hand drawn map that Pickett drew at Gettysburg.

This is a Jed Hotchkiss map that Ewell used

..and I don't want to forget to include McClellan's saddle!

I went there in 2007, spent 2 hours looking at everything. So fascinating. I am going to find my photos and post some photos. Thanks so much!

Thanks for the photos. Im hoping to get to Gettysburg in mid April, depending on the virus threat. And one of my other decisions is to roll up to Harrisburg since I will be so close.

If you go to the Harrisburg museum first, your ticket will get you a discount to the Gettysburg Visitor Center museum.
