Here is different type of then and now in which I used one of Dennis Morris' great detail-filled diagraphic prints for the then half. The unique perspective of the print is through the loft window of the Rose barn. The scene through the window freezes the moment in time on the afternoon of July 2nd, as Kershaw's Brigade is passing through the Rose farm and approaching the Peach Orchard at left center. Moments later, the entire Brigade was mistakenly ordered to right flank which exposed their flank to devistating cannister fire from Union batteries along the Wheatfield Road only a few hundred feet away. My now version shows the same general view through a Rose barn window, though at ground level.

This is a great view @Gettysburg Greg, thank you for unique view and I also like the switch up of using a print. It is an excellent view. Thanks again.

Actually, it was only the leftmost 3 regiments of the brigade which attacked the Peach Orchard and who were the poor souls who were mistakenly ordered to the right as you described. The orders were supposed to only apply to the rightmost 2 regiments.

Thanks for the clarification, @infomanpa . I have to admit, I used the caption on the pic written by Dennis Morris, rather than research the facts myself. Always appreciate any corrections.
