Here is different type of then and now in which I used one of Dennis Morris' great detail-filled diagraphic prints for the then half. The unique perspective of the print is through the loft window of the Rose barn. The scene through the window freezes the moment in time on the afternoon of July 2nd, as Kershaw's Brigade is passing through the Rose farm and approaching the Peach Orchard at left center. Moments later, the entire Brigade was mistakenly ordered to right flank which exposed their flank to devistating cannister fire from Union batteries along the Wheatfield Road only a few hundred feet away. My now version shows the same general view through a Rose barn window, though at ground level.
