Watched the video. As with all Matt's videos, it was really good. He examines the controversial aspects of Forrest's life and lets us decide what to think. I suspect we're going to have a great discussion! Thanks, @Tennessee_Mountainman, for suggesting this one!

All my friends tell me good things about Matt Atkinson, and I personally have grown very fond of him. I'm glad you all enjoy it

In addition to Matt's two books he recommends, another great read I would like to add is That Devil Forrest by John Allan Wyeth. I especially like the early childhood accounts John puts together, which all come from primary sources of people who actually known him and his family.

As will I. Now that I've walked the ground, it's much easier to understand. Love Ranger Matt. This one should be fun!

    Yes it is.

But for me it is 1:30pm Tuesday afternoon ... for now ... until we go off summer time and you go on. Then I go back another hour and then a further hour at some stage. :frantic:

I spent 2 months in Perth on a joint exercise with the ADF and had to keep 2 clocks so I wouldn't wake up the wife when I called home.

@PeterT, we go on Daylight (summer to you) time a week from tomorrow, March 12, so this Monday night's chat will be the last on US Standard Time until November. And it isn't even spring yet!

It's 6:30 out here on the West Coast. I'm usually trying to eat my dinner and type at the same time. I may just keep quiet and let the Forrest experts expound!

Thanks Mary. And we go on to standard time on April 2, but I'll be in the USA then until April 19, so,I'll have to readjust when I return home.
