Van Den Corput's Battery at the Battle of Resaca

Yes I think they were at Vicksburg plus if you go up on Missionary Ridge in Chattanooga TN you will find them listed on one of the markers. Next they were at Resaca...next at Kennesaw and Atlanta..now my question is did they go with Hood back to Tennessee but what happened to them afterwards. Did they finally give it up with Johnston in NC. Several years ago I was looking for my grand parents graves in Phoenix City, Ala at a very old cemetery over looking Columbus, GA when I can across a very old grave head stone. The writing on the head stone said this soldier had fought with Max Van Corput's Cherokee Battery.
There's a short sketch of their history here:

After taking part in the Tennessee Campaign, what was left of the battery was apparently captured in the Battle of Salisbury, NC on April 12, 1865.

Some information of the battle of Salisbury here:

IIRC, most of the AOT's artillery that wasn't at Mobile was captured at Salisbury. Kind of an anticlimactic ending for such an outstanding group of cannoneers.

I was just there yesterday walking on the fields where the 13th NJ took action on the Union left as part of Rugers.

In the Champion Hill order of battle they are listed in Barton's Brigade, Stevenson's Division.

Checking back in Tim Smith's book, they are mentioned from page 223 - 229.
Ironically, or perhaps fittingly, when the brigade was exchanged and transferred to the Army of Tennessee, command of Barton's Brigade was given to...Marcellus Stovall, the original commander of the Cherokee Artillerie

This is the Marker for Van Den Corput in Oakland Cemetery. I believe it is just a place marker though and the exact location he was laid to rest is unknown. The marker was placed near where Hood watched the Battle of Atlanta from.
