This coming Saturday, June 26, the Ship's Company will resume it's monthly program on the USS Constellation in Baltimore's Inner Harbor. The program runs from 10:00am - 4:00pm and includes cannon and musket firing and other activities, including fife and drum music. Ship's Company will be onboard the last Saturday of each month through October.

In regard to the USS Constellation - a few photos when she was still in service.
My grandfather did his recruit training on board USS Constellation at Naval Station Newport, RI in 1906.
Left to right:
  • The USS Constellation, Naval Training Station, Newport ca. 1906.
  • Recruit Training on board the USS Constellation, 1907 at Newport, RI
  • The USS Constellation at Newport, ca 1909. Building in the center is the Naval War College, ship to the right is the USS Reina Mercedes captured as a prize of war on 7 July 1898, at Santiago de Cuba, during the Spanish-American War.
The second two images are in my collection of cool "stuff" to collect.
