Howdy, thanks for looking at all of my old cloth and commenting. Looks like its nearly all good stuff that my dad passed along.
So this Union flag has a field that is 26 inches wide and 36 inches long. It was nailed to a pole and some of the stars got wrapped around the pole by design. I think it had 35 stars with 5 around the pole yet the last line of stars clearly only had 5 stars. Each star is hand done and seperate stars on the opposite side. The blue field is now greenish.
The stripes are tattered at the ends and the last row is stripes is 80% detached so I gotta figure out how it reattached?
It looks all hand swen.
There is no ID...sadly
It maybe 82ish inches wide
What do you think?
Doubt I can afford to frame it but woumd like to do right by it as it is now pretty thin.
The field is soft to the touch and is different material from the stripes which kind of course to the touch.
Thoughts?
