HAHAHA... right!
Great Eastern was cool (and redundant) with a single screw, twin paddle wheels and sail power.
Was it Great Eastern or Great Western to first cross the Atlantic in the late 1840s?

The first ship to steam all the way across the Atlantic was the Sirius, which beat the Great Western by one day.

The steam ship to cross the Atlantic was the Savannah in 1819, but she was under sail most of the time.
