Horizontal Civil War 1/4 Plate Tintype of Two Federal Soldiers Enjoying a Card Game and Whiskey, both Smoking Cigars. Man seated at left in kepi and civilian coat. Soldier at right in frock coat with corporal's stripes and kepi. Both hold a hand of cards, bottle and two partially filled glasses on the table between them.

It has somewhat faint tinting on the image. More on the buttons than anywhere else. It looks like blue on the cuff of the frock coat. I can't tell what type of coat the first man is wearing. It looks it is of lighter shade of blue wool.

I'm curious about the cigars! Sort of wish we had a modern day source that would replicate exactly what was smoked in that era! Maybe some of that "good, suthern t'backy"!
