HI
I am having trouble identifying what type of knife this is , its either called a Double edged bowie knife or a Spear point bowie knife.
Blade L. 9 5/16 by W. 2 1/2 . I am getting the width of the blade by the soldiers hand holding the knife. measuring from first joint in thumb to knuckle in the index finger. " using my own hand "

I have always put these in the toothpick category.

don't think its a Arkansas toothpick , to wide . The caption for the picture with soldier was " Confederate soldier with double edge bowie " the caption for the other knife with wooden handle was " Confederate spear point bowie "
