Just saw a post on a neighborhood website for Oregon Hill that vandals broke into Tredegar Thursday night and damaged displays. The post indicates the damage occurred at the National Civil War Center. The location indicated in the police report is a little confusing. My first guess is that the vandalism took place at the Richmond National Battlefield Park museum. However, the American Civil War Center is also located at Tredegar and since the report states Civil War Center, that could be the museum which was vandalized. Unfortunately, neither site has anything posted on their website in regard to damage and I cannot find any reports in the Richmond Times-Dispatch. Hopefully that means the damage was minimal.
Regardless, it is very unfortunate that some individuals feel the need to commit such acts.

Wow, I didn't realize until I hit paste how long that address is!
