In hopes this has not been posted recently, I was astounded to read this account of a survivor of Andersonville.
This was an article which ran in the Minonk, Illinois newspaper:
As I researched, I found this article which highlighted the Reunion of the 14th Illinios :
Here is his own story as told to possibly a newspaper reporter:
And here, the dapper Corp. January, replete with his well-deserved service medals:
